Network Engineer

Manage and troubleshoot multi-vendor network environments across physical and virtual infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead Layer-2 and Layer-3 network troubleshooting and conduct Root-Cause Analysis with operations staff and vendors.
• Plan and execute network feasibility tests and proof of concept trials alongside systems engineering teams.
• Manage network hardware, software, and firmware certification processes.
• Operate and maintain lab environments using network equipment test sets.
• Configure and troubleshoot complex routing and switching protocols within data center fabrics.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper routers and switches (physical and virtual).
• Proficiency with NOS such as Junos and IOS-XR.
• Experience with data center fabrics and load balancers including F5 and Brocade.
• Deep knowledge of MPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN, MBGP, BGP, and OSPF.
• Expertise in route policies, Cisco route-maps, and QoS.
• Working knowledge of VLAN, VRRP, GRE tunneling, and IPsec tunneling.
• Experience with Virtual Network Functions and hypervisors including VMware and KVM.
• Hands-on use of test sets such as IXIA or Spirent.

Preferred Skills

• Python scripting experience.
