Description

 Responsibilities:

• Support and troubleshoot Juniper network infrastructure (hands-on; non-Cisco environment)
• Maintain and support on‑prem VMware virtualization
• Perform Windows Active Directory cleanup, Group Policy management, and remediation
• Provide Tier 3 support for LAN/WAN, wireless, VoIP, and data center operations
• Support and troubleshoot police services and public safety systems
• Assist with network security infrastructure (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC)
• Participate in after-hours maintenance windows and critical incident response as needed
• Maintain documentation, asset inventory, and vendor relationships

Environment

• Onsite data center; primarily on‑prem
• Limited cloud usage (Office 365 for email and shared services)
• May be the only technical resource onsite at times
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Juniper Networks, including routers and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of VMware infrastructure and on-prem virtualization.
• Expertise in Windows Active Directory, including group policy management.
• Strong knowledge of Juniper networking, routing/switching, and network troubleshooting
• Experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Network Access Control (NAC).
• Ability to work independently in high-security, regulated environments.
• Candidates must undergo a clearance process for the role.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting surveillance systems
• Prior experience in law enforcement or public safety environments
• Familiarity with CJIS or other regulated security standards
