Description

Manage and troubleshoot complex enterprise routing and switching within a large, distributed network environment. Act as an escalation point for Level 2 engineers to ensure timely closure of problem incidents.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot enterprise routing using BGP, OSPF, and QoS.
• Manage switch networks configured with MST, RPVST, Ether-channel, Dot1Q Trunking, and Pruning.
• Support Data Center setups using VPN tunnels including DMVPN, L2L, and AnyConnect on Cisco routers and ASA boxes.
• Diagnose and resolve specialized hardware, software, and network problems for customers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a similar network engineering environment.
• In-depth knowledge of OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco NEXUS switches (5000, 6000, 7000, 9000 series) using VDC, VPC, FEX, and OTV.
• Expertise with Cisco 29xx, 36xx, 37xx, 38xx, 43xx, 65xx, ASR 1000, and 4000 ISR Gen platforms.
• Experience managing enterprise WLAN infrastructure including Cisco, Aruba, or Juniper access points and controllers.
• Proficiency with 802.3, 802.1d VLANs/STP, IPv4, TCP, HSRP/GLBP, TACACS, DNS, DHCP, and HTTP.
• Deep understanding of TCP internals across wide area networks.
• Knowledge of Cradlepoint 4G/5G WAN routers and Out-of-Band management.
