Description

You will design, trial, and deploy next-generation network products and service delivery for Commercial Services.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Drive evolution of current platforms by partnering with architecture, business units, and operations.
• Focus on network automation, software-defined networks, and network virtualization.
• Support integration of AWS and Azure cloud strategies with Metro-E and SDN-based services.
• Build high-availability, production-grade solutions in virtualized environments.
• Provide SME support for Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols and participate in operation escalations.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in network engineering.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, IPv6, BGP, OSPF, Multicast, and MPLS.
• Working knowledge of IS-IS and Ethernet/IP services including Ethernet Private Line and Dedicated Internet.
• Experience with DOCSIS 3.0/3.1, SIP, and PacketCable.
• Proficiency in scripting: Python, Perl, Java, XML, and JSON.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Oracle database systems.
• Understanding of MEF 2.0/3.0, OAM, CFM, RFC2544, Y.1564, and Y.1731.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• CCNP or JNCIP certification.
• Experience with OpenStack, vCloud, and OSS products.
