Description

You will own the design, configuration, and maintenance of the organization's LAN/WAN, VPN, firewall, switch, router, and wireless infrastructure.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, VPN, firewall, switches, routers, and wireless networks.
• Implement and manage network security controls, including ACLs, IDS/IPS, and firewall policies.
• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability using tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, or Cisco DNA Center.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, latency, and security issues across hybrid environments.
• Configure and maintain routing protocols and switching technologies.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of strong experience with network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Aruba, or Palo Alto network devices.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, QoS, and network monitoring tools.
• Experience managing routing/switching technologies and Layer 2/3 protocols.
• Working knowledge of network automation tools, including Python Scripting and Ansible.
• Familiarity with firewalls, load balancers, and WAN optimization solutions.
• Basic understanding of cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNets, GCP).
• Experience collaborating with cybersecurity, DevOps, and cloud teams.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field.
