Description

You will design, develop, and maintain software components for network switches and routers, with a focus on the Switch Abstraction Interface (SAI).

Responsibilities

• Develop SAI-based functionalities including packet forwarding, traffic management, and protocol handling.
• Conduct performance analysis and optimization of SAI implementations to ensure scalability.
• Optimize networking software to meet strict performance requirements.
• Implement hardware acceleration techniques using DPDK and SmartNICs.

Required Skills

• 5 to 8 years of software development experience with a focus on networking technologies.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
• In-depth knowledge of Switch Abstraction Interface (SAI) and its implementations.
• Experience with network operating systems such as FBOSS, SONiC, or OpenSwitch.
• Hands-on experience with network protocols including BGP, LLDP, ACL, and SNMP.
• Understanding of network switch and router architectures.
• Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) concepts and frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
