Description

You maintain a Cisco-based enterprise network while supporting infrastructure modernization, including data center transformation and hardware refresh initiatives.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support Cisco LAN/WAN and data center infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Configure switching, routing, and network segmentation (VLANs, subnets, ACLs) to optimize traffic flow.
• Enable Nutanix deployments and Cohesity integration by configuring network access for backup, replication, and file services (NFS/SMB).
• Prepare for and support hardware refresh efforts, integrating new network and security appliances into the existing environment.
• Configure and maintain firewall rules and security policies, collaborating with external vendors for deployment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering within enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking, including switching, routing, and troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of core networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols, and firewalls.
• Experience configuring network segmentation and supporting high-throughput data traffic.
• Familiarity with virtualization environments such as Nutanix or VMware.
• Ability to support both operational tasks and project-based work simultaneously.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across network and infrastructure layers.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with network security platforms such as OpenKyber, Palo Alto, or Fortinet.
• Exposure to Cohesity, Veeam, or other backup/data protection platforms.
