Description

Design, configure, and manage network infrastructure including routers, switches, and wireless access points to maintain performance and security.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, providing technical support to the IT team.
• Implement and enforce network security measures, including firewall configurations, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Monitor network performance and conduct regular assessments to identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
• Mentor junior network engineers and support staff.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as an L2 Network Engineer with campus and corporate networks.
• Minimum experience working with Cisco TAC on troubleshooting and RMA processes.
• Minimum experience working with ServiceNow.
• Minimum experience working with SolarWinds.
• Knowledge of Cisco devices: Catalyst switches, ISR routers, and ASR routers.
• Knowledge of Cisco switch stacking technology, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP configuration and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of DNS and DHCP configuration and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in networking principles, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and STP.
• Strong knowledge of network security principles, including firewall configurations and VPNs.
• Experience with network automation and scripting, specifically Python or Ansible.
• Working knowledge of searching data and creating reports in Splunk.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cisco Catalyst 9800 WiFi controller configuration.
• Familiarity with cloud networking solutions (AWS, Azure).
