Description

You will manage network operations to support clinical patient care and general networking requirements in a medical environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Resolve network issues and requests received via electronic ticketing and phone calls.
• Troubleshoot advanced hardware issues involving routers, switches, WICs, and SFP modules.
• Deploy new network hardware and document problem symptoms, system information, and topology diagrams.
• Identify and communicate technical trends to department leaders to define corrective actions.
• Own user problems from initial contact through resolution, following up to communicate progress.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering and operations.
• Hands-on experience with network firewalls, VPNs, ACLs, and internet egress technologies.
• Proficiency with network protocols including NAT, IP/TCP/UDP, SSL VPN, and IPSec VPN.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in WAN/LAN environments using TCP/IP.
• Ability to resolve technical problems over the phone in a demanding environment.
• Experience with routing and switching hardware and advanced troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to SLA timelines for escalations.

Preferred Skills

• Degree or certification in a network-related field.
• Knowledge of healthcare information systems and clinical environments.
