Description

You will manage and oversee critical communication and data systems for marine and public safety operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management Systems (RMS), and Automated Field Reporting (AFR) systems.
• Manage the implementation of mobile data systems for field assets, including mobile data computers and video access tools.
• Research and recommend technology standards for mobile data computers, vessel-locating devices, and cellular data network capabilities.
• Act as a liaison for radio system replacements, including Marine VHF radio improvements and repeater studies.
• Develop and implement enhanced wireless LTE networks integrated with existing fiber networks.
• Establish and document technical requirements for reporting software, including tables, views, and test plans.

Required Skills

• Experience with Marine environments and communications.
• Proficiency with CAD and RMS systems.
• Knowledge of Mobile Communication systems and mobile data computers.
• Experience with Radio systems, including handheld and mobile replacements.
• Technical understanding of Wireless networks and LTE projects.
• Familiarity with Audio and Video system integration for mobile devices.
• Ability to document technical requirements, unit test plans, and test cases.
