Description

You will validate enterprise networking technologies, design lab topologies, and automate testing workflows to support production deployments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Translate architecture use cases into structured lab test plans covering functional, performance, and failure-scenario testing for switching, routing, SD-WAN, and firewalling.
• Execute high-touch validation of network technologies and deliver complete validation packages including topology diagrams, sanitized configurations, and pass/fail summaries.
• Partner with vendors (Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Palo Alto) to conduct joint proof-of-concept testing, bug reproduction, and interoperability validation.
• Write Python, Bash, and Ansible scripts to automate lab tasks, device provisioning, and configuration pushes.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) for automated configuration validation and regression testing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure, or solutions engineering.
• Proficiency with network automation tools: Ansible, Nornir, NAPALM, pyATS, Batfish, NetBox/Nautobot.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines applied to network configuration workflows.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code concepts as applied to networking.
• Ability to produce detailed lab reports, logical/physical topology documentation, and reference architectures.
• Experience with rack and stack of lab equipment, cable management, and physical layer verification.
• CCNP/CCIE (Enterprise or Data Center), JNCIP, ACE, or equivalent professional certification.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in a dedicated network validation or solutions engineering lab environment.
