Description

You will design, engineer, and maintain complex telecommunications networks.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer complex telecommunications infrastructure.
• Diagnose and remediate complex network issues.
• Manage and test network infrastructure including DWDM, optical fiber, and wireless systems.
• Implement network security using ACLs, stateful policies, and intrusion detection/prevention.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, bending, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of practical experience in a network engineer role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant discipline.
• Advanced Ethernet switching and IP routing knowledge (OSPF, VRRP, BGP).
• Experience with various WAN protocols.
• Intimate knowledge of fiber optic transmission, termination, and testing practices.
• Experience with network management and testing for DWDM, optical fiber, and wireless.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Ciena, Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, and HP switches and routers.
• Familiarity with MetroE, DWDM, FFx, IP/MPLS, IPv6, and wireless technologies.
