Description

You will configure, troubleshoot, and maintain the organization's LAN/WAN infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security across routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Configure and install network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and NAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex router, server, telephony, and LAN/WAN issues.
• Monitor network resources and maintain availability using PRTG, Gigamon, and Riverbed.
• Implement device hardening standards aligned with CIS or vendor best practices.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams and assist in business continuity planning with vendors.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on LAN/WAN network administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, HSRP, IPSEC, and QoS.
• Experience with Juniper network devices and SD-WAN technologies.
• Proficiency with Fortinet firewalls, VPN technologies, and Access Control Lists.
• Solid grasp of OSI/TCP/IP models, VLANs, trunking, and spanning tree protocol.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Visio or equivalent network diagramming tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with 802.11 wireless standards.
• Participation in 24x7 on-call rotation for escalated support.
