Description

You will serve as the network lead for a designated geographical region, owning the design, implementation, and operation of global internal communication systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design LAN/WAN solutions and wireless networking for global sites and data centers.
• Manage operational support and incident resolution to maintain high network availability.
• Interface with ISPs and carriers to install, commission, and test WAN and Internet circuits.
• Develop standard configurations, procedures, and guidelines for voice and data services.
• Drive scalability through automation and operational improvements.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience developing, implementing, and maintaining complex network systems in an enterprise environment.
• Advanced proficiency in at least three areas: Routing, Switching, Firewall, or WiFi.
• Hands-on experience with LAN technologies including Cisco IOS/Nexus OS, VLANs, STP/RSTP, CoS, QoS, and Ether-channel.
• Deep knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, or VRRP.
• Experience managing WAN technologies such as MPLS and MetroEthernet.
• Expertise in troubleshooting using packet capture and analysis tools like Wireshark.
• Proven ability to set up new site networks, including racking and configuring hardware.
• Professional fluency in both written and verbal English and German.
• BS or BA degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills

• Cisco certifications including CCNP or CCIW.
• Experience with Aerohive, Extreme, or Silver Peak SD-WAN.
• Experience with Cisco ASA VPN, SolarWinds monitoring, or Cisco ACS/RADIUS/TACACS.
