Description

Act as a Solution Validation Services Consulting Engineer, planning and executing validation engagements to ensure new design solutions meet specific customer requirements.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build test lab configurations, author and execute test plans, and document all results.
• Identify technical issues and gaps, working with engineering and delivery teams to resolve them.
• Develop and integrate new technologies into lab environments to accelerate validation efforts.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and stakeholders to support next-generation R&S, Data Center, and Service Provider implementations.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in network engineering or a similar technical role.
• CCNP certification in Routing & Switching or Service Provider.
• Strong knowledge of IOS-XR and Service Provider platforms including GSR, CRS, ASR9K, ASR1K, and NCS5500.
• Deep expertise in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, and MPLS.
• Hands-on experience with LAN Switching, STP, Traffic Engineering, Multicast, and IPv6.
• Proficiency in EVPN, QoS, MST, and NetFlow.
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex network problems in a customer support or TAC-style environment.
• Programming familiarity with Python or Robot Framework.
• Linux/Unix operating system experience.

Preferred Skills

• CCIE certification in Service Provider or Routing & Switching.
• Experience with ASA, IPSec Tunneling, VxLAN, NFVi, OpenStack, and VMware Virtualization.
