Description

Design, implement, and maintain network solutions across on-premises and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi solutions to support expansion and reliability.
• Integrate GCP services including VPCs, load balancers, Cloud Interconnect, and Cloud VPN.
• Monitor network performance and uptime using industry-standard tools to ensure reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex networking issues across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
• Automate network operations using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a service provider environment.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) networking components.
• Deep understanding of BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, and SDN.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, or similar network automation tools.
• Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with network monitoring platforms such as Nagios, SolarWinds, or PRTG.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or Fortinet firewall and security appliances.
• Competency with troubleshooting tools including Wireshark, traceroute, and ping.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Fiber to the Home (FTTH) technology.
