Description

You will manage the build, operation, and maintenance of network devices in the Virginia DC and support the migration from Denver to the Richardson DC.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain network devices, including configuring routing protocols, ports, and VLAN extensions.
• Create end-to-end plans, designs, and upgrades for enterprise-wide LANs and WANs.
• Develop Concepts of Operation, Requirements, Basis of Design, and critical design documents and drawings.
• Perform methodical fault isolation and resolution to maintain network stability.
• Coordinate network environment modifications with other IT departments through change management.
• Support change control activities during after-hours or weekend windows.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering and administration.
• Experience designing and operating networks using BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, route leaking, route redistribution, and route-maps.
• Proficiency with WAN technologies including MPLS, DMVPN, and VRF.
• Hands-on experience installing and configuring Cisco Catalyst 9000 Series and Nexus switches.
• Deep understanding of StackWise, VPC, and spanning-tree protocols including STP, RSTP, MSTP, PVST, R-PVST, and PVST.
• Experience with network management applications and protocols such as SNMP, Netflow, SolarWinds, NetBrain, and Wireshark.
• Ability to delegate tasks, set deadlines, and lead internal team members.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Valid Cisco certifications, specifically CCNP or CCNA.
