Description

Manage onsite network hardware installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting for routers, switches, and firewalls.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, rack, un-rack, and replace network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and CSU/DSU devices.
• Perform Ethernet and fiber cabling tasks following TIA-568 standards, including labeling and testing.
• Execute MACD tasks such as adding/removing modules, wiping configurations, and identifying rogue devices.
• Conduct site surveys and wireless LAN surveys to ensure accurate documentation and equipment capture.
• Coordinate with NOC, local vendors, and the network team to resolve escalated or outstanding incidents.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network field operations.
• Hands-on experience with LAN, WAN, and WLAN troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with fiber and Ethernet cabling and testing equipment.
• Experience with Access, Core, Server Farm, and Distribution switches.
• Ability to use MS Visio for creating network diagrams and documentation.
• Working knowledge of AWS, WebEx, Skype, and Teams.
• Experience managing DNS records, CMDB data, and change records.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing the RMA process, equipment shipping, and hardware upgrades using standard code or IOS.
