Description

You will design, configure, and maintain Fortinet and Checkpoint firewalls within a DevOps and Agile environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and upgrade Fortinet and Checkpoint firewalls, including virtual instances like VDOM and VSX.
• Deploy network infrastructure and software following established change management processes.
• Provision and execute firewall requests in accordance with security policies across all environments.
• Automate routine tasks and maintain technical documentation to support continuous improvement.
• Participate in weekend deployment activities and on-call rotations on a scheduled basis.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in a technical operational support area.
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet and Checkpoint firewalls.
• Experience with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and Checkpoint Smart-One.
• Proficiency in scripting using Python, Shell, or Perl.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network flows, interconnectivity, and performance issues.
• Familiarity with security policy management tools such as Algosec.
• Knowledge of SD-WAN, Zero Trust, and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Linux operating systems and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Ansible.
• Certifications including Fortinet FCP/FCSS, Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE, or Cisco CCNP/CCNA.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
