Description

You will manage and upgrade network infrastructure across multiple sites, handling high-level design and hands-on hardware deployment.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end deployment process, including unpacking, racking, cabling, and documenting hardware inventory.
• Configure and manage Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches, VoIP devices, and Cisco Firepower firewalls.
• Implement and maintain network security using ISE, Stealthwatch, DNA Center, and IPSec.
• Design LAN architectures that integrate legacy equipment with new wireless solutions using Meraki and Cisco.
• Perform fieldwork across five boroughs for data gathering, hardware replacement, and physical patching.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in IT network engineering or technician roles.
• Deep expertise in complex Routing & Switching environments.
• Hands-on experience with Meraki, Cisco DNA, and ISE.
• Proficiency with Cisco Command Line Interface (CLI), Windows, OSX, and Linux.
• Strong knowledge of protocols: EIGRP, BGP, SSH, TCP/IP, UDP, SSL, HTTP, HTTPS, and DNS.
• Experience with L2/L3 switching, VPC, 802.1Q, ether-channel, STP, RSTP, VTP, and QoS.
• Competency with security technologies including RADIUS, PKI, IKE, and MD5.
• Ability to use monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, Sniffer, Syslog, NetFlow, and TCPDump.
• Physical capability to perform installation tasks, including patching and cabling.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cisco VoIP and SIP protocols.
• Ability to create Method of Procedure (MOP) documentation and operational materials.
