Description

Own the maintenance, diagnostics, and design of a 500+ node network spanning multiple locations and cloud environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Administer switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access controllers, load balancers, and DNS/DHCP services.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and coordinate with ISPs for reliable internet.
• Manage and optimize cloud network architectures in AWS and Google Cloud, including VPCs, VPNs, and Transit Gateways.
• Implement network security best practices, including firewalls, NAC, and segmentation across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with Workplace, Windows, Linux, Storage, Database, and Cloud teams to resolve staff network problems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco switching, routing (OSPF, BGP), and firewall configuration (ACLs, VPN tunnels).
• Proficiency in AWS Cloud networking: VPC, EC2, ALB/NLB, Transit Gateway, Security Groups, NACLs, VPN, Direct Connect, CloudFormation, and IAM.
• Experience with GCP networking and cloud-native monitoring solutions.
• Strong understanding of L1-L4 network layers and logical troubleshooting techniques for wired, wireless, VPN, and cloud connectivity.
• Ability to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco access-layer switches.
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools such as Site24x7 or SevOne.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with F5 Load balancing, Cisco ISE, and WAF.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, Storage, and Database environments.
