Description

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of wired and wireless network infrastructure. Define security architecture elements to mitigate threats and align with frameworks like SABSA, NIST 800-53, and ISO 27002. Perform security assessments to identify architectural gaps and recommend improvements. Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure availability of critical business processes. Document security requirements, controls, and the impact of new technologies on the current security posture. Provide technical security input for RFPs, SOWs, and procurement documents.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain secure wired and wireless network infrastructure.
• Align security architecture with SABSA, NIST 800-53, and ISO 27002 frameworks.
• Conduct security assessments to identify gaps and recommend architectural improvements.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Provide technical security guidance for RFPs, SOWs, and procurement documents.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in Security Architecture & Engineering.
• Mandatory CISSP, CISA, or CISM designation.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP and DNS.
• Experience with Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems.
• Expertise in identity and access management (PKI, OAuth, OpenID, SAML).
• Hands-on knowledge of routers, switches, servers, and transmission media.
• Understanding of application firewall functions, DLP scanning, and SSL security.

Preferred Skills

• CISSP-ISSAP, TOGAF, or SABSA certifications.
