Description

Lead the network section and manage infrastructure supporting local and wide area networks.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage, direct, and motivate the network team, including staff performance evaluations and training recommendations.
• Maintain all network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, switches, routers, hubs, and cabling.
• Administer and upgrade county servers, email servers, archive systems, and web servers.
• Oversee storage area networks (SANs), backup systems, and disaster recovery/continuity planning.
• Develop IT budgets, capital expenditure plans, and multi-year hardware/software refresh strategies.

Required Skills

• 5 to 7 years of experience in networking and system administration.
• Proven experience managing a network team.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments and Windows Server.
• Deep understanding of LAN, WAN, and SAN operations.
• Experience with Cisco hardware and network security.
• Ability to perform capacity planning, resource planning, and risk assessment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills

• Cisco certifications (CCNA or CCNP) and Microsoft Windows Server certifications.
• Experience with disaster recovery, emergency preparedness, and backup systems.
