Description

Lead the network section and manage infrastructure for the County's connectivity and server environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage network section staff, including performance evaluations, training recommendations, and workload supervision.
• Maintain all LAN, WAN, and SAN infrastructure, including switches, routers, hubs, cabling, and network-attached devices.
• Administer and upgrade server infrastructure, email servers, archive systems, and web servers.
• Collaborate with the cyber security team to maintain a secure environment and coordinate disaster recovery and continuity plans.
• Oversee network managed services contracts, professional services, and IT budget and capital expenditure planning.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in networking and system administration.
• 7+ years of extensive experience with Microsoft Windows environments, Cisco, LAN/WAN, and security.
• 5+ years of prior management experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing staff and evaluating performance.
• 5+ years of thorough knowledge in network operations including LAN, WAN, and SAN.
• 5+ years of experience establishing working relationships with vendors, departments, and outside agencies.
• Proven ability to perform capacity planning, resource planning, and risk assessment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and administrative coordination.

Preferred Skills

• Cisco certifications (CCNAs or CCNP) and Microsoft Windows Server certifications.
• 7+ years of experience with SANs, backup systems, disaster recovery, and emergency preparedness.
