Description

You will design, implement, and manage IP network solutions across multiple programs. This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop network designs and create detailed diagrams using Visio based on user requirements.
• Configure, implement, and document network equipment and infrastructure from start to finish.
• Evaluate technologies against critical infrastructure needs and perform proof of concepts.
• Identify opportunities for automation, network optimization, and capacity management.
• Maintain operational excellence of network systems and components.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of network engineering experience with IP networks, or a Bachelor of Science with 3+ years.
• Experience architecting LAN, WAN, and intranet for large distributed communications systems.
• Proficiency configuring and troubleshooting MPLS, ISIS, QoS, BGP, VPLS, AS prepending, and route policies.
• In-depth BGP troubleshooting using Cisco XR code, including route-leaking and BGP attributes.
• Experience configuring OSPF redistribution, costs, and route-maps using Cisco XE code.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ASR903, ISR3, ASR99xx routers, and Cisco Nexus switches.
• Experience with Cisco GetVPN and peering with Tier 1 Internet Service providers.
• Practical experience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and F5 hardware.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred Skills

• CCNP or other advanced technical certifications.
• Strong enterprise troubleshooting skills covering Multicast, Layer 2, HSRP, and physical layer issues.
