Description

You will develop and optimize network platform features and data path architectures for L2, L3, and QoS technologies.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Triage and resolve internal and customer-reported technical issues.
• Write feature specifications covering requirements and detailed designs.
• Implement features and system improvements individually or within a team.
• Perform peer reviews of code, test plans, and engineering documentation.
• Lead teams in implementing features and report project status to delivery.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on development experience.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Go, and Python.
• Deep understanding of Broadcom ASIC pipeline architectures (Trident, Tomahawk, XGS).
• Experience designing L3 technologies including IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, SR/SRv6, VRF, and L3VPN.
• Experience designing L2 technologies such as STP, LLDP, sFlow, LAG, and MLAg.
• Experience with QoS technologies: Queueing, Classification, Policing, Marking, Shaping, ACL, ECN, and WRRED.
• Working knowledge of BCM SDK, P4, and DPDK.
• Understanding of Linux OS internals, memory management, and the network stack.
• Knowledge of RIB, FIB, Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), and High Availability/ISSU.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Debian build/packaging, Linux Kernel, Containers, and Virtual Machines.
