Description

You will manage network security operations for state agencies, handling firewall administration, compliance, and infrastructure maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Execute Firewall Service Requests, break-fix tickets, and formal change requests daily.
• Decommission and refresh End-of-Life hardware to modernize network infrastructure.
• Implement security controls to maintain alignment with IRS, FBI, and CJI compliance standards.
• Configure and manage Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Participate in weekly on-call rotation for after-hours incident response and maintenance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network security administration.
• Proficiency in Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewall features, including Zones, Security Policies, S2S VPN, and Natting.
• Strong ability to configure, troubleshoot, and manage rules on Cisco ASA firewalls.
• Foundational knowledge of routing protocols, subnetting, and the OSI model.
• Ability to pass criminal, financial, and drug background checks.
• Availability for standard 40-hour weeks and scheduled maintenance windows.
