Description

You will secure information systems and computer networks against cyber-attacks. You own the monitoring, configuration, and incident response lifecycle for the organization's security infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and WAF logs to identify unusual activity or potential threats.
• Identify network vulnerabilities and provide actionable recommendations to minimize risk.
• Integrate and configure Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to prevent exploits against vulnerable software.
• Investigate security breaches and develop effective response strategies.
• Establish interconnections between firewalls and the organizational SIEM, collaborating with the Information Security Manager to define alerts and rules.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in network security.
• Expertise in Web Application Firewall (WAF) integration and configuration.
• Deep understanding of network design principles and filter configuration.
• Experience managing SIEM interconnections and establishing detection rules.
• Proficiency in monitoring server logs and network traffic analysis.
• Ability to manage firewall and antivirus software deployments.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years of experience working with HHS CISO Office or the Network Service Division on large IT projects.
