Description

You will act as the Information System Security Officer managing security measures for information systems and infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage the Secure System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
• Coordinate system security plans with agency personnel and outside vendors.
• Advise management and users on security configurations, procedures, and data access needs.
• Perform technical risk assessments for new and existing applications, systems, and data center physical security.
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in security roles such as an ISSO or equivalent.
• Proficiency with the NIST Risk Management Framework and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Working knowledge of Texas Information Security Standards.
• Proven experience conducting and documenting technical risk assessments and associated reports.
• Experience with document control implementations within system security plans.
• CompTIA Security+ or an equivalent security certification.
• Ability to work under limited supervision using independent judgment.

• Experience working with critical timelines.
• Ability to bridge the technology gap between owners and custodians.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
