Description

You will hunt and analyze critical IP-related threats to identify and resolve suspicious network activity.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Investigate unknown or suspicious IP addresses through deep technical analysis.
• Perform DNS lookups, traceroutes, and network diagnostics to determine activity origins.
• Collect and correlate technical and contextual data for each identified IP.
• Script and automate data collection and reporting tasks using Python.
• Document findings and collaborate with engineers to improve detection mechanisms and workflows.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or network analysis.
• Hands-on experience with IP tracing, DNS lookups, and traceroute tools.
• Ability to write Python scripts for simple automation tasks.
• Experience with network infrastructure and common security protocols.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to threat hunting.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Systems.
• Experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing and data platforms.
• Relevant security certifications.
