Description

You will manage corporate and enclave firewalls, application delivery controllers, and authentication services while providing third-level support for complex networking issues.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement firewall changes while evaluating requests for potential cyber security threats.
• Lead technical projects, including the development and execution of disaster recovery and test plans.
• Provide third-level support to troubleshoot complex networking issues and resolve customer requests.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and administration procedures for first and second-level support groups.
• Participate in a rotating weekly 24-hour on-call schedule to meet operational needs.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in an enterprise IT environment.
• Extensive experience with firewall administration, including upgrades, backups, configuration, and diagnostics.
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco and/or Fortinet firewall operations and deployments.
• Proficiency in managing IPSec VPNs between Cisco, FortiGate, and dissimilar vendor hardware.
• Experience with authentication services including AAA policies, Radius, and RSA connections.
• Knowledge of firewall image upgrade planning, implementation, and root layer restoration.
• Ability to manage logical and virtual interfaces, VIPs, and NAT for external interfaces.
• Competency in IDS/IPS profiles, SNMP monitoring, and hardware vulnerability reviews.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cisco Systems Manager, FortiManager, or Azure cloud integration.
• Knowledge of NGFW threat management tools, web-filtering, and application filtering.
• Scripting and automation skills.
