Description

You will design and implement network security architectures for AWS environments, ensuring secure connectivity and compliance. You own the translation of application requirements into actionable firewall rules and security policies, bridging the gap between infrastructure and application teams.

Responsibilities

• Design AWS network security architecture using Security Groups, Network ACLs, and Palo Alto firewall integrations.
• Translate application connectivity needs into detailed firewall rule sets and network security designs.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to analyze requirements for ports, protocols, and data flows.
• Document best practices for cloud network security, specifying when to use Palo Alto versus AWS native controls.
• Support troubleshooting and optimization of existing cloud network security configurations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network security architecture or engineering.
• Strong expertise in AWS networking components: VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, and Transit Gateways.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and enterprise firewall policy management.
• Deep understanding of layered defense models, VPNs, and security controls.
• Experience working in Agile or DevSecOps environments with application teams.
• Ability to document and present complex technical information clearly.

Preferred Skills

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, Solutions Architect).
• Experience with automation tools for firewall policy management.
• Background in financial services or highly regulated environments.
