Description

Lead the enterprise network security architecture, serving as the technical authority for Palo Alto NGFW and Panorama governance. Own the design, standardization, and maintenance of security policies, including segmentation, NAT, IPS/IDS, and decryption. Guide firewall migrations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives while ensuring adherence to NIST and CIS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Palo Alto NGFW architectures, including zones, segmentation, and remote access VPNs.
• Lead Panorama governance, defining templates, device groups, and architectural standards.
• Maintain architectural oversight for Cisco switching (OSPF/BGP/EIGRP) and Meraki wireless environments.
• Define security architecture standards, SOPs, and diagrams to support audits and compliance efforts.
• Mentor engineers and serve as the escalation point for complex network security issues.

Required Skills

• 10–15+ years of overall network and security experience, including senior engineering or architect roles.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Palo Alto NGFW and Panorama architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco enterprise switching, including VLANs, trunking, and routing protocols.
• Experience with Cisco Meraki wireless and DNA Center deployments.
• Proficiency in BGP, EIGRP, DNS, and DHCP infrastructure management.
• Ability to translate technical risks into business impact for leadership.

Preferred Skills

• PCNSE or CCNP/CCIE certifications.
• Experience with CISM and cloud networking (AWS/Azure).
