Description

You will own the design and implementation of secure network architectures.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to analyze network security requirements, including connectivity, protocols, and data flows.
• Translate application needs into detailed network security policies and firewall rules.
• Design and validate network security architecture in AWS, using Security Groups, Network ACLs, and Palo Alto firewall policies.
• Streamline firewall rule discovery, approval, and deployment processes with perimeter defense teams.
• Document cloud network security design standards, defining when to use Palo Alto versus AWS native controls.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network security architecture or engineering, focusing on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of network security controls: firewalling (Palo Alto experience desired), Security Groups, VPN, and layered defense models.
• Proven ability to translate application connectivity needs into firewall rule sets.
• Familiarity with AWS networking components: VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, and TGWs.
• Experience working with application teams in Agile or DevSecOps environments.
• Excellent documentation and technical presentation skills.
• Ability to drive results independently.

Preferred Skills

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, Solutions Architect).
• Experience with enterprise firewall policy management and automation tools.
