Description

You will own the deployment, configuration, and security of Palo Alto Virtual Firewalls within Telco cloud environments, ensuring carrier-grade availability and compliance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure Palo Alto VM-Series and CN-Series firewalls as VNFs in Telco cloud infrastructure.
• Manage policy enforcement, log analysis, traffic inspection, and threat detection across Telco network segments.
• Implement high-availability setups (active-active/passive) to ensure no service impact from node or site failures.
• Perform L2/L3 troubleshooting, incident management, and change control aligned with ITIL standards.
• Secure north-south and east-west traffic flows using deep packet inspection (DPI) and traffic engineering.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network security engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with Palo Alto Virtual Firewalls (VM-Series / CN-Series).
• Strong understanding of Telco networks, NFV, and cloud security implementation.
• Proficiency in Python, Ansible, and REST APIs for automation and configuration.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized network functions.
• CCNP or CCIE certification level networking fundamentals.
• Experience with traffic engineering, DPI, and high-severity incident resolution.

Preferred Skills

• Palo Alto certification (PCNSE or equivalent).
• Experience with Telco-specific compliance and audit processes.
