Description

Secure network infrastructure with a focus on F5 appliances and firewall policy management.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer F5 appliances, managing LTM, GTM, and ASM configurations, TMOS upgrades, and HA deployments.
• Manage Palo Alto and Cisco firewall policies, including ACLs, objects, and security rules.
• Implement and troubleshoot Site-to-Site VPNs across Cisco ASA, Firepower, and Palo Alto platforms.
• Own the end-to-end change management process, from validating requests to raising CRQs and coordinating with network operations.
• Identify and resolve network security issues using tcpdump, ssldump, and Wireshark.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of total IT experience with a focus on network security.
• Hands-on experience with F5 technologies, including VIPs, Persistence, SNAT, and SSL.
• Proficiency in writing and troubleshooting F5 iRules.
• Direct experience managing Palo Alto and Cisco firewall products.
• Expertise in Site-to-Site VPN implementation and tunnel troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of HTTP protocol versions, headers, methods, and status codes.
• Competency with troubleshooting tools such as openssl, curl, and QKView.
• Knowledge of routing, switching, and endpoint security solutions.
• Familiarity with security standards like ISO 17799/27002 and compliance regulations such as FERPA.

Preferred Skills

• Cisco CCIE Security, CISSP, or F5 Certified Big-IP Administrator (F5-CA) certifications.
• Experience with F5 ASM and APM security modules.
