Key Responsibilities

· Study incidents, runbooks, SOPs and operational workflows to identify repeatable, high-volume and low-risk automation candidates.

· Translate manual diagnostic and remediation steps into executable workflows using Ansible, Python, Rundeck or equivalent automation/orchestration tools.

· Build automations for alert enrichment, ticket creation/update, diagnostics, service restart, log collection, health validation, scaling and other approved remediation patterns.

· Integrate automation with ServiceNow, PagerDuty and observability platforms where required.

· Develop reusable modules/components and maintain automation assets in Git-based repositories through CI/CD pipelines.

· Implement unit/integration testing, rollback, validation, logging and auditability before production deployment.

· Participate in incident reviews to identify new automation opportunities and convert recurring patterns into backlog items.

· Support AIOps use cases such as alert correlation, enrichment and automated triage.

· Work within risk-based controls and obtain ServiceNow approval for high-risk or privileged actions.

· Document automation design, operational runbooks, dependencies and support procedures.

· Collaborate with SRE and platform engineers during stabilization, optimization and transformation phases.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

· Hands-on automation development using Python and/or Ansible.

· Experience translating business/operational requirements into technical workflows.

· Understanding of ITSM incident/change processes and production support.

· Experience with APIs, JSON, Git and CI/CD fundamentals.

· Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

· Ability to work with operations SMEs and convert manual runbooks into repeatable automation.

Mandatory Technology Stack – Must Have

· Connectivity: Network connectivity – LAN/WAN, VPN, internet connectivity, DNS, routing, load balancers, connectivity between applications

· Network & Net Security: Network Security – Firewalls, WAF, IDS/IPS, security rules, network segmentation, suspicious traffic, security incidents

Good-to-Have / Preferred

· Rundeck, StackStorm or equivalent orchestration.

· ServiceNow/PagerDuty integration experience.

· Cloud automation exposure in AWS/Azure/GCP.

· Observability/AIOps exposure with Datadog/Splunk/AppDynamics
