Description

You will own the oversight, support, and management of distributed LAN/WAN environments across North America, including market access and trading infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Perform 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support for WIFI, corporate LAN, MAN, and WAN Infrastructure.
• Design and deploy network infrastructure by gathering requirements from the production architecture group.
• Troubleshoot complex, cross-platform issues with system support team members.
• Monitor service management systems to manage operational issues and ensure standard practices are followed.
• Design and implement new infrastructure on a per-project basis, proactively recommending projects based on monitoring and expertise.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience supporting market access and trading infrastructure environments.
• Detailed knowledge of Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching platforms, Cisco ISR and ASR routing platforms, and Juniper EX switches.
• Proficiency with optical systems, specifically ADVA supporting 10G, 40G, 100G, and FC.
• Thorough understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals and networking technologies (Metro Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, DWDM, TDM).
• Knowledge of routing protocols including EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, IP Multicast, PIM, IGMP, DHCP, and DNS.
• Proficiency with ITP Policies and Procedures, including Change Control.
• Experience with network management products and ITP-standard monitoring tools.
