Description

You will configure and maintain network security controls across on-premises and AWS cloud environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage NGFW policies for Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, or Cisco Firepower, including VPNs, NAT, and TLS/SSL inspection.
• Implement microsegmentation using Guardicore Centra to isolate workloads.
• Secure AWS VPCs by configuring Security Groups, NACLs, and network ACLs.
• Automate infrastructure and routine tasks using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Monitor security controls to reduce false positives and maintain accurate runbooks and diagrams.

Required Skills

• 5–10 years of experience in network security engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with enterprise next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco Firepower).
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Strong understanding of AWS networking security (VPCs, Security Groups, NACLs).
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Guardicore Centra for microsegmentation.
• Familiarity with Splunk, Elastic, or CloudWatch for monitoring.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, CIS, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, AWS Security Specialty).
