Description

Manage firewall rulesets and network security configurations to ensure secure application connectivity.

Since is_remote, hybrid, and on_site are all 0, no work mode line is generated.

Responsibilities

• Develop firewall rulesets using Cisco ASA based on log analysis and vetted access requirements.
• Write custom Splunk queries for IP flow analysis and infrastructure capacity management.
• Execute network configuration changes and firewall updates following formal change management processes.
• Create and maintain network documentation, including configuration details, diagrams, and process procedures.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues in collaboration with wider networking teams.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or support roles.
• Extensive experience with Cisco ASA firewalls.
• In-depth knowledge of firewall policy creation.
• Proficiency in writing Splunk queries.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for technical documentation and cross-team collaboration.
• Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and escalate issues effectively.

Preferred Skills

• Checkpoint firewall experience.
• Ability to develop Azure Network Security Groups.
