Description

You will design and develop tools and solutions for hyperscale backbone networking and route/forwarding control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new solutions using open data plane hardware for scalable control systems.
• Build and maintain software platforms for WAN infrastructure using distributed and fault-tolerant systems.
• Collaborate with WAN network engineering and operations teams to define, build, and operationalize solutions.
• Develop tools to improve operational metrics regarding reliability, visibility, and efficiency.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one language: Clojure, Go, Java, or Python.
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Experience with big data pipelines using Kafka and Spark.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols including BGP and MPLS.
• Expertise in network monitoring protocols such as Netflow and SNMP.
• Background in large-scale distributed systems, operating systems, or high-performance analytics.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
