Description

Design and develop tools for hyperscale backbone networking and route/forwarding control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new solutions using open data plane hardware for scalable control systems.
• Build and maintain software platforms for WAN infrastructure.
• Collaborate with network engineering and operations teams to define and operationalize solutions.
• Develop tools to improve reliability, visibility, and efficiency across global backbone infrastructure.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one language: Clojure, Go, Java, or Python.
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Experience with big data pipelines using Kafka and Spark.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols including BGP and MPLS.
• Expertise in network monitoring protocols such as Netflow and SNMP.
• Background in large scale distributed systems, fault-tolerant systems, or operating systems.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
