Description

You will monitor and maintain the State of Alabama's LAN/WAN infrastructure, ensuring availability for voice and data circuits across point-to-point, wireless, campus, and VPN environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain statewide multi-complex networks for voice and data circuits.
• Document incidents, requests, problems, and change requests in ServiceNow to maintain an accurate system of record.
• Respond to alarms, alerts, and faults following standard infrastructure procedures to maintain service availability.
• Analyze network data using management systems, databases, and spreadsheets to identify required preventative maintenance or corrective actions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network monitoring and maintenance.
• Deep expertise in LAN/WAN networking, including point-to-point, wireless, campus, and VPN configurations.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management.
• Experience with Remedy ticketing systems.
• Strong systems analysis capabilities to interpret network management reports and databases.
• Ability to initiate corrective procedures and trouble reports to engage appropriate technical support personnel.
