Description

Provide hands-on hardware support, circuit migration, and physical network deployment for routers, servers, and storage devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform break-fix tasks including visual inspections, component replacement, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Manage physical deployment through rack/stack/jack installation, cable management (fiber, copper, power), and labeling/inventory recording.
• Execute circuit provisioning and migration support by installing cables, optics, SFPs, or GBICs and testing light levels.
• Handle hardware maintenance such as power cycling, soft-booting, tape backup exchange, and following data eradication processes.
• Conduct onsite testing using loop-back cables and client-provided test sets to verify circuit integrity.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of proven experience in a network administrator role.
• Hands-on experience with networking, routing, and switching hardware.
• Practical knowledge of setting up and configuring server hardware.
• Experience with physical cabling, including northbound cabling and PDU installation.
• Knowledge of best practices for managing, controlling, and monitoring server infrastructure.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies.
• Ability to perform hardware tasks such as re-seating components and managing AC/DC power removal.
• CCNA, Network+, CCNP, CCDP, or CCIE certification.
• Associate's degree in electronics or a related technical field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with firewalls and remote Internet VPN implementation and troubleshooting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
