Job Description

  • Troubleshoot and configure network devices using protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, and OSPF.
  • Perform network traffic discovery by analyzing packet captures and drive issues through to resolution.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot Layer 3 private IP MPLS carrier networks through BGP peering.
  • Troubleshoot and manage sophisticated private BGP WAN topologies, including WAN CE routers, configurations, and QoS policies, while ensuring network stability 24/7.
  • Troubleshoot network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, access points, load balancers, and proxies.
  • Use networking tools such as Splunk, HPNA, Forward Tool, Netdisco, Pulse, Synapse, Cyrus, and Aruba Mobility Master to analyze logs, configurations, traffic utilization, and troubleshoot network-related issues.
  • Work with data center technicians to resolve hardware issues by troubleshooting or replacing faulty ports, cables, modules, and devices.
  • Perform live troubleshooting with different vendors to identify and resolve device-related issues.
  • Monitor alerts on TSN Workstation and create incident responses, coordinating with management teams to ensure proper ticket resolution.
  • Use SNMP monitoring tools such as EMC SMARTS.
  • Apply knowledge of networking technologies, topologies, and protocols, including:
    • TCP/IP
    • BGP
    • OSPF
    • RIP
    • SNMP
    • Multicast
    • VSS
    • STP
    • HSRP
    • Carrier Circuits
    • WAN Switching
