Description

Document, label, and manage physical network infrastructure in data closets.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Document current copper and fiber connections in network data closets.
• Update Excel spreadsheets with data closet information.
• Create labels for fiber patch panels and cables using a label printer.
• Notify the Director of Enterprise Infrastructure of any issues.
• Perform light cleanup and cable management in network closets.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of overall working experience.
• 5+ years of visual acuity to read existing labels.
• 5+ years of ability to trace and label cables in a working environment.
• 3+ years understanding of fiber cabling (single vs multimode) and connector types (ST, SC, LC, MPO, RJ45).
• 8+ years familiarity with Windows operating systems.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (OneDrive, Teams, Excel, Word).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with physical infrastructure documentation and organization.
