Description

You will manage and optimize systems engineering infrastructure, ensuring hardware and software integration supports business functions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and hardware/software interfaces.
• Provide system-level support for multi-user operating systems, including installation, maintenance, and configuration.
• Investigate and analyze system information to optimize computer resources and draw technical conclusions.
• Collaborate with networking teams to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
• Develop and implement monitoring solutions aligned with systems architecture and business information flows.

Required Skills

• 5 years of experience engineering solutions with IBM Tivoli Netcool Suite.
• Hands-on experience with Netcool Omnibus, including message bus probe/gateway and probe rule writing using regular expressions.
• Proficiency within the Apache Kafka Ecosystem, including messaging and log aggregation.
• Experience with fault-tolerant and high-availability design.
• Strong Unix background.
• Experience with ITRS Geneos and Kafka integration.
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Unix) and infrastructure services.
• Proficiency in writing shell scripts.

Preferred Skills

• Netcool Impact policy writing and XML experience.
• Experience with Dynatrace or Splunk Enterprise.
• Programming experience in Java or .NET.
