You will provide hands-on technical support for network infrastructure and telecommunications systems.
Responsibilities
Execute hardware tasks including racking, stacking, cabling, and decommissioning network devices.
Manage physical layer requirements such as patching copper and fiber optic cables, installing power leads, and identifying network circuits.
Perform troubleshooting via console or remote access, including pinging devices, DNS lookups, and inspecting hardware for failure lights or error messages.
Provide smarthands support for diverse systems including WiFi, microwave, radio frequency (HF, VHF, UHF), VSAT, and cellular nodes (4G LTE, 5G).
Respond to ServiceNow incident tickets and participate in Root Cause Analysis for post-incident reviews.
Maintain operational standards by following change management, risk management, and safety protocols.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience supporting and managing network infrastructure and related devices.
Hands-on experience with routing, switching, and firewalls.
Proficiency in WiFi and IP Telephony (IPT) installation and maintenance.
Experience with wireless technologies including LoRaWAN and cellular-based systems.
Technical knowledge of radio frequency (RF) equipment and microwave systems.
Ability to perform IMAC activities for business LAN and voice devices.
Experience troubleshooting specialty systems such as CCTV, PAGA, and intercoms.
Competency in managing fiber optic and copper cabling installations.
Ability to deploy and troubleshoot solar panel and battery power systems.
