Description

You will own the validation and testing of L2 and L3 networking protocols and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans and derive specific pass/fail criteria for network validation.
• Develop and integrate new technologies into lab pods.
• Validate new design solutions to ensure they meet specific customer requirements.
• Maintain the validation lab by performing scale testing, performance testing, and topology bring-up.
• Identify technical issues and gaps, driving resolution with engineering and delivery teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network testing.
• Strong background in L2 and L3 networking protocols.
• Hands-on experience testing BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, QoS, BGP PIC, and BGP LU.
• Expertise using IXIA or SPIRENT traffic generators to create L2 and L3 traffic flows.
• Direct experience with Cisco or non-Cisco routers.
• Proficiency with traffic generation tools for performance and scale testing.
• Ability to manage and maintain complex lab topologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with large-scale production requirement validation.
