You will act as a subject matter expert managing and optimizing wireless network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Build and configure WLAN connectivity between IT systems and physical hardware using DNA Center, 9800 WLCs, NAC servers, ISE, switches, and access points.
Deploy wireless infrastructure and design heat maps using Cisco DNA Center tools.
Perform firmware upgrades at the hardware layer and software patches for 9800 WLCs and access points.
Manage incident, change, and problem tickets within SLA using ITSM platforms to restore business services.
Lead meetings regarding compliance and planning for future wireless infrastructure design requirements.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in network engineering.
Cisco Wireless proficiency including WAPs and WLAN connectivity.
Hands-on experience with Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) for deployment and troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of Cisco 9800 WLCs and Cisco Integrated Service Engine (ISE).
Understanding of 802.1x Authentication, CAPWAP Tunnels, Mobility Tunnels, and DTLS.
Knowledge of Wi-Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), Site Tags, and Radio Plans.
Familiarity with Ekahau Site Survey and heat map design.
Understanding of traffic flows for Corporate, BYOD, and Guest SSIDs.
